About Me

I’m Aaron Bray, a Manchester and Stockport based photographer working across portraiture, headshots, product photography and commercial imagery.

My work combines contemporary photographic practice with commercial image-making, blending technical studio precision with a more cinematic and visually constructed approach. I’m particularly interested in the relationship between realism, atmosphere and illusion within photography — something that continues to shape both my personal projects and commissioned work.

With a background in contemporary photography alongside years of practical client experience, I approach photography as both a technical and visual discipline. Lighting, composition and visual clarity sit at the centre of my process, whether I’m producing professional headshots, commercial product imagery or interior photography.

Over the years I’ve worked with independent brands, hospitality venues, creatives and commercial clients across Manchester and the North West, creating imagery for advertising, branding, websites, promotional campaigns and social media content.

My style leans toward clean, visually direct imagery with an emphasis on atmosphere and controlled lighting rather than excessive retouching or artificial aesthetics. The goal is always to create photographs that feel intentional, visually strong and commercially useful while still retaining authenticity.

Alongside commissioned work, my wider creative practice explores constructed environments, performance, scale and visual perception through studio photography. This ongoing exploration continues to influence the way I approach visual storytelling and image construction within commercial projects.

Based near Manchester, I work across Stockport, Greater Manchester and the wider UK on both studio and location-based commissions.
